Surrogacy
Surrogacy
One of the important causes of infertility is the inability of the mother (wife) to carry and nurture the fetus in the womb. The replacement of the uterus becomes necessary when the couple has all the factors involved in the formation of the fetus, but due to the absence of the uterus/lack of a healthy uterus, the possibility of having a child has been denied to them.
In vitro fertilization technology (IVF/ICSI) has made it possible for couples to transfer the embryo resulting from the fertilization of the mother’s egg and the father’s sperm to the womb of a third party in a suitable position.
Surrogate uterus condition
Surrogacy treatment method is a complex medical, legal and psycho-social method, which requires detailed and specialized medical examinations, health evaluation and psychological evaluations of the couple who owns the fetus and the woman who owns the uterus, and legal follow-ups to achieve maximum success.
The woman who has a uterus replaces a woman who has gone through the stages of fertility and maintenance of the fetus of another couple in her womb (that is, the stages of pregnancy), so that after the completion of pregnancy and delivery, the baby will be handed over to the couple who owns the gamete (genetic father and mother).
Surrogacy treatment is possible if you have one of the following reasons
Absence of the uterus, congenital (such as Roki-Tansky syndrome) or acquired (such as hysterectomy for various reasons such as uterine malignancies)
The presence of a uterus with an abnormal structure, congenital or acquired (such as very many and large fibroids in the uterus and Asherman syndrome
Cases of recurrent miscarriage of unknown cause
Cases of repeated failure in ART treatment despite the presence of a suitable embryo and proper development of the endometrium
-underlying diseases of the mother in such a way that the pregnancy endangers her life or causes the aggravation of that disease; such as advanced heart failure, kidney failure, some malignancies, autoimmune disease such as lupus erythematosus and diabetes with severe organic complications
